Jim Mattern has taken his creativity as an artist and his talents as a craftsman, to create the elemental and harmonious shapes & forms of nature.
In the late 1960's after returning from Viet Nam, Jim began sculpting in metal. He has spent the last 30 years perfecting his art and creating a unique coloring process, seen only in his work.
The light-refracting quality of Jim's sculptures, in mild and stainless steel, creates a pleasing kaleidoscopic effect. One of constantly changing colors and textures.
